Meet Our Assistant Principal

Hello!

My name is Ms. Gonzales. I grew up in Orange County, south of Los Angeles, and I now live in Mountain View. I received both my bachelor’s degree and teaching credential at UC Davis. This is my 10th year teaching at Garfield Community School and my fifth year teaching third grade.

I have chosen to be part of the GCS because Gators and their families inspire me with their compassion, generosity, and joy. In our classroom, I plan on building a community where students can practice sharing their opinions clearly and confidently with their voices and in their writing. I also hope to support students in finding their favorite way and/or many ways to express themselves; we all have a passion-- whether it be for words, numbers, science, art, music, or sports-- let’s find yours together. 

I believe that all our Gators have talents and gifts to contribute to the world, and I will work with you to discover and cultivate them . Thank you for allowing me to lead you and learn from you and your families.
