About Me:

Hello! My name is Chris Schaefer.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and I live in Burlingame. I received my bachelor’s degree at Pomona College and my teaching credential at Harvard University. This is my 5th year teaching at Garfield Community School and my 22nd year teaching.

I have chosen to be part of the GCS because it has such amazing students!  In our classroom, I plan on learning alongside the students while also having some fun. I also hope to support students as they work through mistakes because that is how our brains grow the most. I believe that all students are talented in unique ways and I will work to make sure those talents shine.
