6th Grade Math/SCI - Stamates, Anastacia

Anastacia Stamates

About Me:

Hello! My name is Anastacia Stamates.

I grew up in Redwood City and I still live in Redwood City. I received my bachelor’s degree at UCRiverside and my teaching credential at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont. This is my 10th year teaching at Garfield Community School and my 10th year teaching 6th grade.

I have chosen to be part of the GCS because it is a place where families and staff work together, support each other, teach each other and learn together. In our classroom, I plan to get to know each of my students, explore math and science topics, and learn how to think critically about the world around us. I also hope to support students in helping them find the best ways to organize themselves and their learning because these skills will always be of use in their future. I believe that all students should have every opportunity to choose their future for themselves and I will work hard to ensure that their understanding of math and science will allow them to make informed choices.

Thank you for supporting our community!
