8th grade ELA/SS - Taylor, Christopher

Chris Taylor

About Me:

Hello! My name is Mr. Taylor. I grew up in Oregon and now I live in Redwood City.  I received my bachelor’s degree from U.C. Berkeley and a Master’s in Education from Stanford. This is my 13th year teaching 8th grade at Garfield Community School. When I am not teaching eighth grade English, I love spending time outdoors, reading, cycling, doing yoga, and visiting my family in Oregon.

I feel so lucky and privileged to have been part of the Garfield learning community for the last decade because I love being part of such an awesome team of parents, teachers, support staff and administration who all work together to make our school great.

This year, I look forward to preparing students in the final step in their journey to high school. I love teaching eighth grade because it is an exciting and challenging year. I enjoy having to opportunity to support students through the high school registration process as well as take part in the eighth grade promotion ceremony. I believe that all my students have limitless talents! I see it as my job to help them develop the skills and habits necessary to pursue their wildest dreams while at the same time making the world a better place for us all.

Thank you for everything that you do!
