About Me:

Hi! My name is Jennifer Cendejas. I grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois -  a small suburb West of Chicago.  I received both my bachelors degree and my teaching credential from San Jose State University. This is my 11th year teaching at Garfield. For the past ten years, I have loved teaching 4th and 5th grade and I am very much looking forward to my new role as a reading specialist. I have chosen and continue to choose to be a part of Garfield because of its inclusive and supportive community. The students, their families, and the entire staff truly make this a unique and wonderful place to be.
